INNOVATION AND INTEGRITY
Berkeley Apparel weaves over 100 years of history and impeccable craftsmanship into each of its meticulously tailored suits. This century of experience has imbued the company with a deep understanding of the anatomy of a man’s suit, and the many elements that combine to ensure it presents beautifully. From the enduring performance of a cloth, to how it will take to the needle, each piece is carefully designed, cut and stitched to create a suit that inspires confidence in its wearer.
Berkeley Apparel is renowned for the integrity of each garment and its attention to the finest details. Utilising predominantly Australian wool and high performance fibres, and employing many traditional tailoring techniques, Berkeley Apparel crafts menswear of timeless design and exquisitely fashioned materials. Three distinct brands fall under the Berkeley Apparel umbrella; Studio Italia, New England and Milano Workshop, providing classic to contemporary styles and cuts, and all with the company’s signature commitment to perfection.
OVER A CENTURY OF QUALITY TAILORING
Joseph Cohen founded Berkeley Apparel in 1907. A Polish immigrant, he trained to become a tailor in the West End of London. Here, Joseph developed an entrepreneurial spirit and deep passion for design excellence that continues in the fourth generation of this family business.
Today, technology and capital investment transfers have enabled the company to shift its emphasis from manufacturing to supply chain management. Berkeley Apparel prides itself on its strong relationships with both staff and clients, and continues to deliver wearable and innovative products of the highest quality.
